Sometimes homeschoolers scare me with overkill. Planned curriculum for “home-preschool”? Worrying about cold-weather PE, or kids with broken writing arms being able to do worksheets? Why homeschool if you’re going to be that rigid? I think of homeschooling (which I’d love to do, but we’re not sure we will; we’ll see) as being there partially because of the opportunity for more free-learning and flexibility, and frankly, I’ve never liked too much structure for relatively neurotypical under-sixes, regardless of setting.
